Expressions of interest for South Island Secondary Schools Rugby League Tournament 2015

The 2015 South Island Rugby League Tournament will be hosted by Aranui High School in Christchurch. Provisional dates are the end of week 1 of the Holidays, 7th-10th April. 

This is a qualifying tournament for the New Zealand Secondary Schools Tournament held in September, in Auckland. The two highest placed teams will be the South Island Entries in the NZSSRL tournament in the Premier grade and the emerging schools grade. The third placed team will have the right of entry as a wildcard, should this be available.

This year, the tournament was contested by Greymouth High, Aranui High, and host school, St Thomas of Canterbury College. The winner was Greymouth High School.

Greymouth High win the South Island Secondary Schools Rugby League Tournament !

Greymouth High School have won the South Island Secondary Schools tournament defeating Aranui High School on Saturday 32-22, and then St Thomas of Canterbury College 40-16 on the Sunday.
In the dead rubber on Monday, Aranui High school and St Thomas of Canterbury College drew 26 all.

Entry forms for South Island NZSSRL qualification Tournament due 28th February

  

St Thomas of Canterbury College are hosting the inaugural South Island 

NZSSRL qualification Tournament, on Queens Birthday Weekend 2014.

This tournament will decide the South Island entrants in The Premier grade, emerging schools grade, and any wild card entries to the NZSSRL National Tournament in Auckland (Winter tourney week 2014).

A South Island Secondary Schools Tournament will also be held during Winter Tournament week (venue tba)

The AGM of the South Island Secondary Schools Rugby League will be held at this tournament. If you are not entering a team but would like to be represented at this meeting please let me know.
